HOURS OF WORK:


Full time positions available. Monday to Sunday, shift work schedule of 40 or 42 hours per week.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for treatment and transportation of patients, performing patient care as per the Basic Life Support Patient Care Standards and/or Advanced Life Support Skills (ALS) according to Base Hospital directives, ensuring patient\'s safety, privacy and confidentiality. You will respond to calls as directed in accordance with the rules and regulations as laid down by the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario, Emergency Health Services, other legislated regulations or acts, as well as Region of Peel policies.


QUALIFICATIONS: · Current certification as an Advanced Care Paramedic or a graduate of a MOH&LTC approved Advanced Care Paramedic College Program. · A-EMCA (or EMCA) and certified by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care · Must be qualified to work in an ambulance in Ontario as required by the Ambulance Act and Regulations · Valid Class “F” license and meet all requirements of the Ambulance Act · Valid CPR level C certification · Excellent communication and public relations skills · Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment · Superior investigative, analytical and problem solving skills.
